United Arab Emirates accuses Saudi Arabia of plotting against Emirati interests and allies in Yemen

The Political Studies Center in the UAE has revealed a Saudi-led conspiracy against the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in a number of southern and eastern provinces of Yemen.

“Today, they announced a new component opposing the STC in Hadhramaut, and tomorrow they will announce another opposing component in Shabwah,” said Khaled Al-Shamiri, head of the center, in a tweet on Twitter, commenting on Saudi Arabia’s announcement of the establishment of the “Hadhramaut National Council”.

Al-Shamiri indicated that the role is coming according to the same scenario in Aden, confirming in another tweet that the president of the “Presidential Leadership Council,” Rashad al-Alimi, and Saudi Arabia “want to deliver a message to the STC that it “does not represent the south.”

He added that the real response to the Saudi plot would come from what he called “the people,” who would go out to uproot those plans in the coming days.

Saudi-established “Dera Al-Tatan Forces” factions have controlled a number of important areas in Aden, including Al-Sha’b district, and deployed military reinforcements through the border crossing of Al-Wadiah, tightening their grip on these areas last month.
