One civilian was killed and another was injured on Friday, when a shell left over by Saudi-led coalition forces, went off in Hodeidah province, western Yemen.
In a brief statement, the Executive Center for Mine Action said “a mother was killed and her child was injured due to explosive remnants of war in al-Hali district, Hodeidah province.”
The Centre noted that demining activities and actions have been suspended, which means that there will be more civilian casualties.
It should be noted that the coalition continues to prevent the entry of scanning devices to detect explosive objects and mines, in a clear obstruction of humanitarian work. This policy is deliberately intended to harm Yemenis.
