A suicide bomber blew himself up on Friday evening near a gathering of the UAE-funded Al-Amaliqa Forces and Shabwah Defense Forces affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Bayhan district, Shabwah province, southern Yemen.
According to preliminary information, the suicide bomber blew himself up before arriving at the guesthouse, which is used by the Al-Amaliqa Forces and the Shabwah defense as a resting place.
The explosion wounded members of the UAE-backed militias.
Elements of the al-Qaeda organization are fighting the Shabwah Defense Forces, and said in a previous statement that their war in Shabwa is in defense of the Islah party.
