Islah-Affiliated commander assassinated by gunmen

Two gunmen assassinated a security commander affiliated with the so-called Central Security Forces loyal to Islah in the center of Taiz province, southwestern Yemen.

Local sources said that two gunmen on a motorcycle shot Major Salah Al-Amrani in front of his house in Al-Dairy line in the center of Taiz city, killing him instantly.

The gunmen fled the scene, the sources said.

Accusations have pointed to the cells of Tariq Affash and his brother Ammar, former Undersecretary of the National Security Agency, in response to the storming of the sixth Eid festival in Taiz, which was sponsored by Tariq Affash and attacked by gunmen affiliated with the Islah Party.
