On Wednesday, the UAE hiked fuel prices in areas of the Socotra archipelago in southern Yemen.
Media sources on the island of Socotra, where the Emirati ADNOC owns the fuel sector, said that the company raised fuel prices by a large percentage.
According to the sources, the price of a domestic gas cylinder used to be about 45,500 riyals, but it is now approaching 50,000 riyals. The gasoline is currently sold at 32,000 riyals for 20 liters and diesel at 35,000 riyals.
