The Southern Revolutionary Movement on Friday called for overthrow of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) and formation of a “national front” to confront Saudi-led coalition in Aden and the rest of Yemen’s southern and eastern provinces.
“It is required in the southern governorates to overthrow the STC and the coalition of occupation countries and to liberate the south from the Emirati and Saudi occupiers, ” Mohammed al-Numani, spokesman for the Revolutionary Southern Movement forces said in a tweet on Friday.
The formation of “a southern national front to lead the next phase in the southern provinces and solve the problems of the south within the Yemeni national framework”, al-Nomani added.
He accused the Arab and international framework of occupying and imposing siege on Yemen in addition to waging war. The war has caused the destruction of life , killed people, deprived 25 million Yemenis access to food and medicine, and more than 4 million children from education.
Al-Nomani affirmed that the coalition has committed massacres and brutal crimes against humanity and still imposing blockade on Yemen amid the failure of international efforts to end the suffering of the Yemeni people.
