The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions thwarted the transfer of large quantities of Islah party weapons to the city of Aden.
According to pro-STC media, the “Security Belt forces” seized a shipment of weapons on board a large truck carrying a number of detonators and ammunition for various weapons at the western entrance of the city, in the Ras Omran area, coming from Lahj road.
The sources said that the weapons shipment was hidden, including a large amount of detonators and bags containing submachine gun ammunition, in addition to three pieces of Kalashnikov assault rifles, an FN Minimi submachine gun, and 10 Tata pistols with bullets, in addition to an automatic weapon Periscope.
