A woman tried to prevent the burning of copies of the holy Qur’an in front of the Iraqi embassy in the Danish capital, Copenhagen. According to a video on social media, police intervened on behalf of extremists.
The woman removed the Qur’an from an extremist group calling itself the “Danish Patriots,” and a fistfight took place, causing the police to finally intervene. The police confronted the woman and returned the Qur’an to the group.
The burning of the Qur’an in front of the Iraqi embassy in Copenhagen continued, threatening a further deterioration in diplomatic relations between the two countries. On Monday, two people burned the Qur’an, while a far-right and anti-Islamic Danish group also burned it last Friday.
