Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Sana’a government, Hussein Al-Ezzi, affirmed on Wednesday that parties in the international community agreed to maintain the “Yemen” ship until the transition to a period of peace.

“We, the United Nations, and parties in the international community agree to continue efforts to maintain the “Yemen” ship, under the current circumstances,” he added.

For his part, Zaid Al-Washli, the head of the supervisory committee, said that the oil pumping process began yesterday and was crowned with success in its first phase.”

“The process of unloading and washing the tanks, according to the plans sent to us from the United Nations, will last approximately 52 days to unload about 1,140,000 oil barrels,” Al-Washli explained.

He reassured the Yemeni people and the world that the danger of the Safer ship leaking was stopped 3 years ago through our national team and with tremendous efforts, which we have declared for the first time.
