At least six people killed in terrorist attack on Sayyida Zaynab Mosque in Damascus

At least six Syrian citizens were killed  on Thursday and nearly 23 others were injured in a terrorist explosion that targeted the Sayyida Zaynab Mosque in Damascus, Syria’s official SANA news agency reported, citing the interior Ministry said in a statement on telegram.

A motorcycle was detonated near a taxi at Kou Sudan Street, according to the statement.

“The police and authorities concerned rushed to the explosion place as bodies of the martyrs and the injured were admitted to hospitals,” the statement read.

It added, “the bodies of the martyrs and the injured were transferred to hospitals in Damascus and its countryside.”
