Mahrah inhabitants denounce inefficiency of puppet government in ensuring essential services

The General Council for the People of Mahrah and Socotra said on Saturday, that “Mahrah is facing a war” targeting services as part of foreign submission policy, after suspending and reducing commercial activities at the ports, in reference to the practices pursued by the Saudi-led  coalition in Mahrah, Socotra and other southern governorates.

During a meeting chaired by Mohammed Abdullah Al Afrar, the head of the council, the assembled members discussed the latest developments in Mahrah province.

The council denounced the inability of the local authorities affiliated with the Saudi-led coalition to address the problems facing essential services.

The people of Mahrah and Socotra provinces held the so-called “Presidential Leadership Council” responsible for the economic situation and the deterioration of services, which all negative impact on the citizens it brings.

The meeting affirmed that “the people of Mahrah and Socotra will not compromise Yemeni sovereignty, and they will defend  and preserve  security and stability of Yemen and improve the living conditions  of citizens.”
