The Yemeni embassy in Cairo, which serves the Saudi-led puppet government in Aden, sent an official memorandum to Egyptian security, demanding the deportation of a Yemeni citizen who revealed documents about a massive corruption case in the embassy.
In the memorandum, the embassy demanded the Egyptian security service to arrest Yemeni citizen Salim al-Khader Damba, after the latter published documents on his Facebook page about major financial corruption operations in the Yemeni embassy.
The document, which was signed by the embassy’s finance officer, was highly condemned after it was leaked on social media.
According to activists, instead of clarifying about these documents, the embassy is trying to silence anyone who criticises its corruption, as well as its violation of diplomatic norms by signing a memorandum addressing the Egyptian side.
