Security Belt Member kills himself and woman with grenade during kidnapping attempt in Aden

A man blew himself up with a grenade in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition’s factions.

According to local sources in the city, a member of the “Security Belt Forces” detonated a grenade. The explosion resulted in his death along with a woman who was near him in the middle of the main street in the Dar Saad area.

The woman’s identity has not been revealed yet, the sources said.

The sources indicated that the man got off of a bus near the gas station in Dar Saad, and tried to kidnap a woman while screaming and shouting that he would kill her with a grenade.

The same sources explained that the man threatened citizens by saying that he would detonate the explosive if one of them intervened.

Other sources reported that a member of the “Security Belt” faction who was drunk was killed during an attempt to kidnap a woman. He detonated a hand grenade while citizens tried to rescue her in the middle of the street
