President Mahdi al-Mashat meets with diplomatic delegation from Oman

President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Sunday met with the delegation of the Sultanate of Oman at the Presidency House in Sana’a, before its departure.

During the meeting, Mahdi Al-Mashat lauded the Sultanate of Oman’s efforts to achieve peace in Yemen, despite the Saudi-led coalition countries’ intransigence.

Al-Mashat emphasized that continuing the current situation, in which the people of Yemen live in light of the war and all manifestations of siege and starvation, and transferring the humanitarian entitlements represented by paying the salaries of all state employees, re-opening Sana’a International Airport, and removing all restrictions imposed on the ports of Hodeidah to a topic of negotiation, is no longer acceptable.

He stated that Sana’a is committed to a just peace that protects the rights of the Yemeni people, as seen by its previous actions, and that it is now up to the coalition countries to prove their seriousness in peace by presenting practical steps to implement the Yemeni people’s demands as a humanitarian and rightful priority.

Al-Mashat said that the time is not open for the enemy to continue evading the just humanitarian entitlements of the Yemeni people, since the enemy’s continued prevarication and gaining time would bring him outcomes he does not want.
