UAE fully demobilises entire mercenary brigade, sacking at least 11 commanders from position

The UAE has ended the service of the first military brigade affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.

The UAE ousted 11 commanders from the leadership of the First Support Brigade, including the companions of the commander of Major General Munir Al-Subaihi “Abu Al-Yamamah”, the armament staff of the brigade Major General Wadah Abdullah Tamah, the war staff of the brigade Major General Dayan Atef Al-Shabhi, the deputy chief of operations of the brigade Major General Ja’em Saleh Al-Musafri, and others.

The brigade’s leaders were referred to remain in their homes, after the Emirati authorities already prevented financial support and food from the brigade’s members and demobilising hundreds of them under the name of “restructuring,” which is being carried out by the so-called STC “Dhalea Wing.”

The UAE dismantled the “Support and Assistance Brigade” due to a conflict between the wings of the faction leaders in Yafea and Dhalea, with the latter seeking full control over the leadership of the factions loyal to the UAE.
