Internal disputes among Al-Qaeda in Ma'rib escalate

A heated conflict is reportedly taking place among the leaders of Al-Qaeda, which led to the arrest of the Sharia judge for the organization in the Wadi district of Ma’rib governorate, which is under the control of the Islah factions affiliated with the Saudi-led coalition, informed sources revealed on Friday.

According to the sources, the leaders of al-Qaeda, based in the Wadi district in Ma’rib, arrested the judge, Abu Bashir, a year and a half ago. This was reported by the correspondent of the Saudi News Al-Aan channel in Aden, Assem Al-Sabri, on his X account.

The sources pointed out that the security apparatus of al-Qaeda, led by Ibrahim al-Banna, failed to assassinate Abu Bashir during the last period.

Al-Qaeda camps are spread in al-Wadi district, east of Ma’rib city, which is under the control of the Islah party authorities, making it the headquarters of the organization’s leaders.
