The UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg welcomed in a statement on Wednesday the visit of the Sana’a delegation, accompanied by the Omani mediator, to Riyadh to hold meetings with the Saudi side.
The UN envoy’s late welcome comes after the end of the meetings, which lasted for five days, and the return of the Sana’a delegation, accompanied by the Omani mediation delegation, to Sanaa on Tuesday evening.
It is noteworthy that the meetings between Sanaa and the Saudi side were brokered by the Omani delegation without the participation of the United Nations.
