Gunmen, suspected to be affiliated with Al-Qaeda, targeted a military vehicle of the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions in Abyan province, southern Yemen, on Thursday.
Local sources reported that the attackers set off an explosive device on one of the STC’s military vehicles on the main road near the “Qarn Amaram” village, located east of the Mudiyah district.
Te explosion did not result in any casualties among the STC personnel, added the sources.
