Ali Ashal, a member of the Aden puppet parliament loyal to the Saudi-led colaition, has revealed a new details about a new corruption scandal in the ranks of the puppet government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition.
Ashal explained that recently, the Polish government provided 40 tons of wheat in aid to Yemen, valued at $14 million. He added that the pro- coalition government granted a merchant half of the grant, equal to seven million dollars, for transporting the shipment, while the fees for transporting the grant do not exceed two million dollars.
Observers do not rule out that the pro-coalition government has worked to transport the shipment through a specifically chosen merchant in exchange for commissions or shares in the profit with the trader.
It should be noted that scandals of looting public funds have been part and parcel of the Aden governments, tallying up to millions of dollars in value embezzled. All this whole citizens in coalition-held areas are suffering from a state of economic collapse, reaching to a level in which many citizens are unable to secure their basic needs of food and clean water.
