A wounded recruit from the forces loyal to the Saudi-led coalition committed suicide in the city of Ma’rib, following the wounded “Rayyan Ma’odah” who committed suicide three days ago.
According to human rights sources in the city, one of the wounded fighters who fought in the ranks of the Islah factions, named Muhammad Ali Shaiban, tried to commit suicide on Friday because the coalition abandoned them.
The sources stated that Shaiban’s colleagues staged the suicide incident to save him from certain death without revealing the means of suicide that he undertook.
The same sources added that the wounded suffer from poor psychological conditions due to neglect.
Moreover, the sources said that the suicide attempt was an expression of discontent towards the coalition that abandoned them and left them without entitlements to help them live, indicating that Shaiban was one of the wounded from the coalition forces on the Ma’rib front.
Suicide incidents among the coalition recruits have risen in recent years in a number of southern and eastern provinces controlled by Saudi- and UAE-funded factions.
