Popular support for Palestinian resistance operation in Egypt peaks

Reactions have been escalating in the Arab world in support of the Palestinian resistance in the “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation.

The most notable reaction was by an Egyptian policeman, who killed two Israeli tourists and injured a third in the Egyptian city of Alexandria on the White Sea coast.

The Egyptian authorities announced that the Egyptian policeman had been arrested, while a number of Egyptian lawyers announced their readiness to defend the Egyptian policeman.

On the other hand, the movement of crossings from the occupied Palestinian territories to Egypt, through the Al-Awja border crossing, stopped.

The Egyptian regime normalized relations with Israel in 1979, but this normalization did not end Egyptian hostility to the Israeli occupation.
