In 1982, in the 1st Lebanon War, Israel launches a full-scale invasion against Lebanon and occupies large parts of the country, peacekeepers from the US, France and Italy intervene.
The 2nd Israeli Lebanon War of 2006 lasts 33/34 days, where Israel suffers defeat at the hands of Hezbollah fighters and eventually has to withdraw completely from the occupied areas of Lebanon.
