Hamas Leader Condemns Israel's Seizure of Al-Shifa Hospital as a Political Move

Hamas movement’s leading member, Izzat Al-Rishq, said on Wednesday that the attempt of Israeli occupation entity’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to portray the storming of Al-Shifa Hospital as a military achievement is “political adolescence and open theatrics.”

“It is an open play that will not deceive anyone, and no one will believe it, as Al-Shifa Hospital is a civilian medical facility and not a military barracks,” al-Rishq added.

Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Shifa Medical Complex, which is the largest hospital in Gaza, and it is the first time that the Israeli army has entered the complex after days of airstrikes and fierce fighting around it and besieging it.

Eyewitnesses said that hundreds of Israeli soldiers stormed the hospital, along with many tanks.

The Israeli occupation entity has constantly alleged that the hospital is being used by Hamas and that the movement has an operations headquarters under the hospital.
