The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas announced on Wednesday that it had reached a humanitarian truce deal with the Israeli occupation for a duration of 4 days, following difficult and complex negotiations for many days.

“A four-day humanitarian truce has been reached between Hamas and the Israeli occupation under Qatari and Egyptian mediation,” the Palestinian Resistance Movement announced in a statement early on Wednesday morning.

“Under the agreement, hundreds of trucks for humanitarian, relief medical aid and fuel will be brought into all areas of the Gaza Strip without exception,” the statement read.

“The agreement includes the release of 50 Israeli detainees, women and children, in exchange for the release of 150 Palestinian women and children, under which the free movement of people from north to south along Salah al-Din Street is guaranteed,” according to the statement.
