The Syrian air defences have responded to an Israeli missile aggression that targeted Damascus International Airport and other points in the Damascus countryside, causing the airport to be put out of service, the state-run SANA news agency reported, citing a military source.
“At approximately 4:50 on Sunday afternoon, the Zionist enemy carried out an air aggression with missiles from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting Damascus International Airport and some points in Damascus countryside,” the military source said in the statement.
The source pointed out that the air defence forces responded to the enemy missiles and destroyed most of them. It added that the aggression caused Damascus International Airport to be put temporarily out of service, and caused material losses.
