Saudi Arabia and France signed a draft executive plan for cooperation between the two countries in the field of military industries, research and development.
This came after joint discussions between Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman and his French counterpart, Sebastien Lecornu, in Paris, according to the Saudi Press Agency on Wednesday.
Radio Monte Carlo International reported that the visit of the Saudi Defense Minister to Paris and his meeting with his French counterpart come at a time when the Middle East region is witnessing a major crisis since the outbreak of the Gaza war.
