Hamas leading member: Yemen stands with Palestine in both word and deed

Ali Baraka, Head of the National Relations Department of Hamas, affirmed that the Yemeni leadership stands with Palestine through action, not mere rhetoric.

In an interview with Al-Masirah channel on Wednesday evening, Baraka explained that Yemen has taken action, not only at sea but also by launching rockets and striking southern occupied Palestine.

He considered Yemen’s actions to surpass all expectations, emphasizing that it is a genuinely faith-driven stance, not merely a political one, hence, there’s no fear for the Yemeni position.

He predicted that Yemen would continue to exert pressure on the Israeli entity, expressing the Palestinian belief that if Yemen were at the borders of Palestine, the situation would be different.

Baraka noted that Yemen has completely paralyzed Israeli navigation and threatened US forces, putting their presence at risk. He highlighted the US-formed coalition’s fragmentation, with several countries either withdrawing or participating symbolically to avoid entanglement with Yemen.

Baraka emphasized that Yemen’s stance has unsettled the enemy front, eased Gaza’s situation, and sent a message of solidarity, a fiery one, to their people, who are greatly impacted by Yemen’s actions.

Commenting on President Biden’s threat to Gaza and the subsequent aircraft carrier sent towards Yemen, Baraka suggested that this holds significant meaning regarding Yemen’s role in the conflict.

Expressing regret for the actions of some regionally aligned countries, he stated: “While Yemen announces its operations to lift the siege on Gaza, we see some regional countries moving to lift the blockade on the entity.”

Regarding the Zionist aggression on Gaza, the Head of Hamas National Relations clarified that the figures provided by the Zionist enemy regarding their casualties are unrealistic. He pointed out that simple comparisons of their declared losses result in significant disparities.

Since the Israeli regime’s relentless military campaign against Gaza commenced in early October, the Yemenis have openly declared their support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation
