The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Yemen has reiterated that navigation in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea is safe to all destinations except for ships affiliated with the Zionist entity.
The ministry, in a statement, pointed out that the military operations carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces in the Red Sea are specifically directed against Israeli-bounded ships and those heading to its ports.
It clarified that this limited and temporary Yemeni measure is exceptionally humanitarian and aims to lift the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip, which has reached the point of preventing access to food, water, and medicine.
The statement called on the international community not to be swayed by false and misleading claims by the US, Britain, and Germany regarding alleged threats to international navigation in the Red Sea from Yemen.
“These claims are aimed at garnering international support to enable the Zionist entity to continue its crimes and achieve its objectives of aggression against Gaza, protecting it from any positive pressures aimed at curbing its brutal violation of human conscience,” it added.
The statement emphasized that despite the brutal aggression and unjust siege imposed on Sana’a since March 26, 2015, it has remained committed to protecting navigation in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea. This leaves no room for doubt that Sana’a demonstrates the highest level of commitment and concern for the safety of navigation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs concluded its statement by reaffirming that the only threat to navigation in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, as well as the security and stability of the region and the world, lies solely in the suspicious moves, threats, and provocative methods employed by the United States and Britain.
