A leader in Hamas disclosed details of Paris’ ceasefire proposal for Gaza, outlining a three-stage plan, Reuters reported.
The first stage involves releasing civilian captives, the second stage pertains to the release of military captives, and the third stage includes delivering the bodies of captives.
He highlighted that the specific number of Israeli Occupation captives to be released by the resistance has not been established yet, and this matter is subject to negotiation, according to Reuters.
Earlier, the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, said that the movement had received a proposal for a ceasefire after talks in Paris and would study it.
Hamas’ response would be based on the priority of ending the aggression on Gaza and withdrawing the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) from the strip, Haniyeh added.
He added that the leadership of Hamas received an invitation to visit Cairo to discuss a framework for a ceasefire that emerged from the Paris meeting, in accordance with an overarching vision that realizes the national interests of the Palestinian people in the foreseeable future.
