Saudi-led puppet rulers in Shabwah plan to increase oil derivative prices further

Local authorities loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in Shabwah province in eastern Yemen are intending to raise the prices of oil derivatives, local sources said on Wednesday.

The sources said that the city of Ataq, the center of the province, and the rest of the Shabwah districts entered into a fuel shortage crisis against the backdrop of a decision to raise the price of one liter of gasoline to 3,000 riyals.

The decision has caused gas station owners to refuse to buy oil derivatives from the Shabwah oil company.

Shabwah activists view the decision as a disdain for the people of Shabwah, as it comes three days after the authorities used force to break up a sit-in demanding a reduction in oil derivative prices, similar to the neighboring Ma’rib province.
