Yemen designates United States and United Kingdom as hostile states

Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, issued Presidential Decree No. 107 for the Islamic year 1445 AH today, regarding the designation of the United States of America and the United Kingdom as hostile states to the Republic of Yemen.

The decree consists of four articles. The first article designates the United States of America and the United Kingdom at Level One (A/3) as stipulated in Article (5) of the Law on the Classification of Hostile Countries, Entities, and Persons to the Republic of Yemen, considering them as supporting, protecting, and sponsoring the Zionist entity and participating in the genocidal crimes committed by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people.

The second article states that “the two mentioned states in the preceding article shall be treated as hostile states to the Republic of Yemen and dealt with according to the principle of confrontation.”

Furthermore, the third article of the decree states that “the Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center (HOCC) shall take the necessary measures to implement the designation, and the specialised security apparatus shall confront the activities of the mentioned states domestically, in coordination with relevant authorities.”

The fourth article stipulates that this decree shall come into effect from its date of issuance and publication in the official newspaper.
