Hezbollah shoots down Israeli drone in southern Lebanon

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, Hezbollah, announced on Friday that it shot down an Israeli occupation drone in Wadi Al-Aziya, south of the country.

‘In support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and honorable resistance, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance shot down an “Israeli” army drone in Wadi Al-Aziya,” Hezbollah said in a statement.

Moreover, Hezbollah’s fighters targeted a gathering of “Israeli” enemy soldiers around the “Ramim” barracks with rocket weapons, as well as the Baghdadi site with rocket weapons, achieving direct hits.

Hezbollah said earlier, on Monday, it had shot down an Israeli Hermes 450 drone over Lebanese territory using a surface-to-air missile, over the Iqlim Al-Tuffah area, near Nabatieh in south Lebanon.

In its statement, it claimed that the Israeli aircraft was seen falling with the naked eye.

Hezbollah asserted that its fighters will relentlessly surveil and counter hostile aircraft and thwart them from achieving their aggressive goals.
