Emirati academic mocked for claiming Qassam Brigades have lost 12,000 fighters

Activists on social media mocked the Emirati academic Abdul Khaliq Abdullah, who stirred controversy in the Arab world with his post on X in which he claimed that the number of martyrs from the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, in the Gaza war exceeded 12,000.

“The toll of four months of the Gaza war: 242 Israeli soldiers killed, and about 12,000 Hamas fighters martyred,” Abdullah stated on his X account in Friday.

Activists noted that Abdul Khaliq Abdullah promotes Zionist narratives and also ignores the occupation’s account regarding the total number of soldiers killed since the Battle of Aqsa Flood.

The Israeli army acknowledges the deaths of more than 500 officers and soldiers, including 242 since the beginning of the ground battle.

They stated that Abdul Khaliq Abdullah deliberately provokes followers of the Palestinian issue, pointing out that Emirati media consistently promotes the Israeli narrative.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has resulted in about 30,000 martyrs and tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians wounded, most of them children and women.
