A powerful explosion rocked Taiz, a city controlled by Islah Party factions loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in southwest Yemen, on Monday, local sources reported.
According to the sources, gunmen detonated a hand bomb in the vicinity of the “White House Hotel” near the Al-Saqr Sports Club, causing a state of panic and terror among the people.
The sources indicated that the explosion did not cause any major material damage or human casualties, but was unable to clarify the culprit or its motives for the attack.
