Gaza death toll reaches over 30,800; 72% women and children

The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip has risen to 30,878 martyrs and 72,402 injured since October 7 last year, The Ministry of Health in Gaza said in a statement on Friday, noting that 72% of the victims were women and children.

In the statement, the ministry announced that the Israeli occupation forces committed eight massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, claiming the lives of 78 people and injuring 104 others, during the past 24 hours.

The Ministry added that a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, as Israeli troops have been preventing ambulance and civil defence crews from reaching them.

Since October 7 of last year, the Israeli occupation forces have been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, resulting in more than 120.000 total in number of martyrs, wounded and missing people added, in addition to the enforced displacement of two million people and the massive destruction of homes and infrastructure affecting more than 60% of buildings, amid a suffocating siege, a stifling humanitarian crisis, and an unprecedented famine.
