Israel keeps stalling ceasefire negotiations

Hamas Political Bureau member Husam Badran affirmed that there is nothing new regarding the ceasefire negotiations, stressing that the Israeli occupation is stalling by refusing to respond to the Palestinian demands.

“There is nothing new,” Badran told CNN, saying that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refuses to respond to fair Palestinian demands regarding Gaza’s basic needs.

He listed “stopping the killing, withdrawal, providing relief, and the return of the displaced people without conditions” as factors to be considered.

There’s no scheduled date for resuming ceasefire and prisoner release talks in Cairo, he added.

The Hamas delegation left Cairo last week after talks made no significant progress.

This year, the month of Ramadan arrives at a time when the Zionist enemy continues its destructive war against the Gaza Strip, leaving behind 31,045 martyrs, 72,654 wounded, most of whom are women and children, in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and massive infrastructure destruction.
