Sana'a condemns Saudi measures against Yemeni pilgrims

The Ministry of Guidance, Hajj and Umrah Affairs in Sana’a condemned on Tuesday the arbitrary measures practiced by Saudi authorities against Yemeni pilgrims at the Al-Wadea border crossing, the only land port between Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

The Ministry explained in a statement that these arbitrary measures led to an increase in the suffering of Umrah pilgrims who spend days and hours at the port, with no services provided and no necessities of life available, as well as the death of some Umrah pilgrims due to the severe suffering they are exposed to.

The statement denounced the state of recklessness, negligence, indifference, and arbitrary measures practiced against Umrah pilgrims, calling on the Saudi-led coalition forces to open roads for Umrah pilgrims.

The Ministry also called for the opening of Sana’a Airport and land ports to pilgrims and Umrah performers.
