Economic situation in Saudi-occupied southern Yemen continues to collapse

Banking sources confirmed on Saturday that the currency disruption in the city of Aden and the rest of the province controlled by Saudi-led coalition forces continued to confuse the economic situation, resulting in the deterioration of the riyal against foreign currencies.

According to the sources, the selling price of one dollar in Aden and the other southern and eastern Yemeni provinces reached 1,683 riyals and 1,675 riyals to buy, while the exchange rate for buying and selling the Saudi riyal ranged between 442 and 443 Yemeni riyals.

The sources explained that the exchange rate of the dollar in Sanaa and the provinces under the control of the Supreme Political Council remained stable at 530 riyals to the dollar, and the exchange rate of the Saudi riyal was between 139 and 140 riyals.
