Family members of Israeli captives staged a protest on Thursday at the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv, where the war cabinet is meeting and the security cabinet is scheduled to meet later.
The meetings will reportedly focus on the upcoming Israeli occupation army operation in the city of Rafah, in addition to the possibility of reaching an agreement with Hamas to release its remaining 129 prisoners.
The demonstrators displayed footage of the captive ‘Hirsch Goldberg-Bolen’, which Hamas released yesterday, on large screens outside the military base, while the demonstrators called on the government to agree to any hostage deal offered to them instead of going ahead with the planned military operation.
The street was closed to traffic, and the demonstrators sat in the middle of the road, counting to 202 over loudspeakers to represent every day that had passed since October 7 without the release of prisoners.
