Civilian casualty rate due to Saudi shelling of Yemeni border region continues to rise

A civilian was injured by Saudi army fire in the border Sheda district in Saada province, northern Yemen, a security source in the province reported on Sunday.

The source confirmed that this came hours after Saudi army artillery bombed a citizen’s house in the Al-Harf area of Baqim district in Saada, resulting in serious damage to the house and damage to two cars belonging to the citizen Salman Ali Ghathwan.

A civilian was killed on the 17th of this month as a result of a Saudi artillery bombardment on Al-Sheikh area in the border Munabbeh district in the province.

Since the start of the Saudi-led coalition war on Yemen in March 2015, the Yemeni border areas in Saada have witnessed continuous attacks by the Saudi army, resulting in thousands of civilians dead and wounded and massive destruction of property.
