Mohammed Al-Houthi issues stark warning to US

Member of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, issued a stark warning to the United States, emphasizing Yemen’s possession of a vast and potent stockpile of deterrent weapons.

In a post on X on Wednesday, Al-Houthi cautioned against any hostile actions by the US, asserting that Yemen’s arsenal far surpasses Washington’s expectations.

“Don’t play with fire. Everything you would expect from a strategic stock of Yemeni deterrent weapons, it is much, much more than you can imagine, in terms of quantity, quality and variety,” he said.

These remarks follow earlier reports suggesting US preparations for a large-scale aerial assault on Yemen.

Al-Houthi’s statement coincided with an announcement by the Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman, revealing the targeting of two American destroyers and two Israeli ships in the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. This operation was conducted in solidarity with the Palestinians, amidst ongoing aggression against Gaza.
