The death toll from the American-British aggression on Hodeidah governorate has risen to 16 martyrs and 35 wounded.
The Health Bureau in Hodeidah governorate stated, in a statement, obtained by Saba News Agency that “16 civilians were killed and 35 others were injured as a result of the American-British raids on the Hodeidah Radio building and the Salif port on Thursday evening.”
On Thursday evening, The United States and the United Kingdom launched a series of airstrikes on Thursday on the capital Sana’a and the provinces of Hodeidah and Taiz.
In the same context, Yemen’s Armed Forces Spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e, revealed in a military statement on Friday afternoon that the American aircraft carrier “Eisenhower” was struck in the Red Sea in response to the American-British aggression and raids on Yemen, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of 58 citizens.
Brigadier General Sare’e indicated that the US-British aircraft conducted four raids on the capital Sana’a, resulting in one injury. Two raids on Sanaa governorate; and one raid on the Haifan district in Taiz governorate.
He confirmed that the aggression targeted Hodeidah governorate with six raids.
“One airstrike on the port of Salif, another one on the radio building, two airstrikes on Ghalifa camp and two others airstrikes on the homes of Ali Mohsen and Ali Abdullah Saleh,” Sare’e explained.
The airstrikes on Hodeidah have left 16 martyrs and 41 injuries, including martyrs and injured civilians in the airstrikes that targeted civilian sites such as the Hodeidah Radio building close to Al-Thawra Hospital and the Coast Guard facility in Al-Salif Port, and the total number of martyrs and injuries, both civilians and military personnel reached 58 martyrs and injuries, according to Sre’e.
The airstrikes have caused damage to the Hodeidah Radio building, as well as the Coast Guard building in the port of Saleef, in addition to a number of commercial ships in the port. This represents a clear targeting of civilian objects, a blatant violation of all international laws, and a full-fledged war crime.
