On Monday, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon – Hezbollah, shot down a Zionist drone in the skies of southern Lebanon.
“During continuous monitoring of the “Israeli” enemy’s movements in Lebanese airspace, Islamic Resistance fighters ambushed a “Hermes 900″ armed drone equipped with missiles intended for attacks on our areas. Upon entering the circle of fire, it was targeted with air defense weapons, hit directly, and downed before it could carry out its attack,” Hezbollah said in a statement on Monday.
The statement indicated that the downing of the drone came “in support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and honorable resistance.”
Subsequently, a spokesperson for the Zionist enemy’s “army” confirmed the downing of a Zionist drone over southern Lebanon, acknowledging that ” a surface-to-air missile was fired at a drone belonging to the Zionist Air Force that was flying over Lebanon, downing it in Lebanese territory.
Footage captured by citizen cameras showed the drone falling vertically after being hit by an anti-aircraft missile fired at it in the Rayhan Heights, the Iqlim al-Tuffah area, deep in southern Lebanon.
The number of drones targeted and hit by the Resistance since the beginning of the Al-Aqsa Flood in Lebanon has risen to three Hormuz 900 drones, which fell consecutively in Deir Mimas, Deir Kifa, and in in the Rayhan Heights in southern Lebanon.
Additionally, two Hormuz 450 drones were downed in the Rayhan heights, and two Skylark drones were downed in the border area.
