Abu Obeida, spokesman for al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas, has called on Muslim pilgrims who are performing Hajj rituals in Saudi Arabia to remember their brothers and sisters in Gaza and Palestine during their prayers and great moments of worship at the holy sites.
“As the guests of the Most Merciful (Allah) are performing the Hajj, we are performing the duty of Jihad against the usurping occupation and enemies of God on behalf of the great Muslim nation,” spokesman Abu Obeida said in Telegram remarks on Saturday.
“Al-Aqsa Flood was launched for the third holy mosque (the Aqsa Mosque),” Abu Obeida underlined.
“The Hajj rituals are an opportunity to remind the nation of the two billion Muslims about the reality of our struggle against our enemy that violates the site of our Prophet’s journey to Jerusalem and desecrates it every day,” the spokesman added.
Palestinians in the coastal enclave of Gaza were not able to travel to Makkah in Saudi Arabia for Hajj this year because of Israel’s closure of the Rafah border crossing last May when its army invaded the Strip’s southern border area near Egypt.
