The British Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that the ship “Verbena,” which was attacked 98 nautical miles east of Aden, is sinking off the coast of Djibouti.
They added that the captain of the cargo ship “Verbena” reported that the ship is still on fire and sinking, located 30 nautical miles northeast of Djibouti, after it was evacuated and abandoned.
The agency further explained in an update published today, Saturday, that the “Verbena” ship was attacked with two projectiles, 98 nautical miles east of Aden, which caused a fire onboard. Later, it was hit by a third projectile causing further damage to the ship.
Last Thursday, The Yemeni forces had announced targeting the “Verbena” ship with a number of appropriate ballistic missiles, directly hitting it and causing a fire to break out onboard.
