The Yemeni Armed Forces announced the first use of a hypersonic missile of their production against an Israeli ship in the Arabian Sea.
“The naval forces of Yemen’s Armed forces carried out a high-quality military operation against the Israeli ship MSC SARAH V in the Arabian Sea, and the strike was precise and direct,” the military spokesman Yahya Sare’e said in a statement.
According to Sare’e, the attack was carried out using a “new ballistic missile” tested after successful experimental operations.
He added that the missile has demonstrated its ability to accurately hit targets at long ranges.
“It is a locally-made hypersonic missile with advanced technology, high accuracy, and long-range capabilities.
The launch footage and additional details will be distributed through the military media later, Allah willing.”
