Southern Yemeni separatists take over administrative building in Hadhramaut

The UAE-backed “Southern Transitional Council” (STC) took control of the building of the Supreme Elections Committee in Hadhramaut province, eastern Yemen.

The Yemen Press Agency learned from its sources that the President of the STC, Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, took advantage of his position as Vice President of the “Presidential Leadership Council” by directing the governor of Hadhramaut, affiliated with the Saudi-led coalition, to hand over the Elections Committee’s building to the Council’s branch in Mukalla City.

The sources explained that a member of the STC presidency, Fadi Baoum, moved to take control of state buildings and put them at his disposal amid accusations against “Rashad Al-Alimi” of empowering all state institutions for the STC.

They pointed out that the transitional council quickly raised its slogans at the main gate and the roof of the building, as some of the building’s facilities still need interior finishing.
