Hadhramaut tribes vow to continue campaign demanding fair representation

The head of the Hadhramaut Tribal Alliance, Amr bin Habrish, announced on Sunday that the alliance would not back down from achieving Hadhramaut’s demands and involving its people in decision-making.

Bin Habrish, who has been leading tribal sit-ins against local authorities since the beginning of this August, stressed while receiving sheikhs and notables from Al-Manahil tribe the necessity of involving Hadhramaut in the political decision, just like the rest of the other parties, in reference to the “Southern Transitional Council” loyal to the UAE.

He explained that Hadhramaut possesses oil and fisheries wealth that allow it to enjoy all its legitimate rights from oil revenues.

Bin Habrish stated that the demands adopted by the tribal alliance come as a continuation of the achievements achieved by Hadhramaut, including control of the land by the “Hadhrami elite forces,” which it imposed on reality with the support of the Saudi-led coalition.
