Hundreds of Lebanese killed and injured in apparent remote Israeli attack targeting wireless devices

The security authorities in Lebanon said on Tuesday that wireless communications devices of certain types exploded in a number of Lebanese regions, especially in the southern suburb, which caused hundreds of casualties.

The Internal Security Forces asked citizens to clear the roads to facilitate the treatment of the injured and their transfer to hospitals.

Lebanese sources announced that hundreds of citizens were transferred to hospitals across the country after being injured by the explosion of wireless communication devices.

In turn, the expert in Signals and Communication Corps, retired Brigadier General Muhammad Atwi, revealed that the message that arrived at a specific time and in a specific manner on the communication devices indicates a criminal Israeli intervention to kill Lebanese citizens.

For its part, the Lebanese Ministry of Health stressed that all citizens who own “Pagers” communication devices must throw them away “immediately.”

The ministry called on hospitals to be on maximum alert and raise their level of preparations and asked all health workers to urgently go to their workplaces to contribute to providing emergency treatment.
