Israeli military officially announces ground invasion of Lebanon

However, a correspondent from Al-Mayadeen in Lebanon denied what Israeli media reported about a ground advance near the border, confirming that the Lebanese Army had repositioned itself in the area south of the Litani River.

A reporter from Al-Mayadeen noted that air raid sirens were heard in “Misgav Am” in the occupied Galilee, while another reporter in the south confirmed that Hezbollah had fired at that location.

The Israeli site “Walla” also reported rocket launches toward “Misgav Am,” which has been designated as a closed military area.

Additionally, the Israeli newspaper “Maariv” mentioned that 35 rockets were fired from Lebanon toward the north in a span of 40 minutes after midnight.

Other Israeli media outlets reported that 10 rockets were detected being launched from southern Lebanon targeting “Meron.
